Griots Rebrand: From Content Tool to Growth Infrastructure

Griot started as a context layer for ghostwriting agencies. Now we install AI agents for marketing — AEO, SEO, outbound, and content deployed as systems that compound. Heres why we made the shift.

Griot's Rebrand: From Content Tool to Growth Infrastructure

When I launched Griot in March 2026, the pitch was simple: a context layer for LinkedIn ghostwriting agencies. You plug in your clients' content — podcasts, transcripts, LinkedIn history, notes — and AI finally sounds like them instead of a template.

That product worked. Agencies loved it. But something kept happening in every client conversation that made me rethink everything.

The pattern I couldn't ignore

Every founder I talked to had the same problem. It wasn't content. It wasn't voice matching. It was that they had no growth infrastructure at all.

They had a product. They had users. They had traction. But when I asked about their SEO setup, their outbound sequences, their AEO strategy — the answer was always the same: "We know we need to do that, but we don't have the bandwidth."

These weren't lazy founders. They were building real companies. They just couldn't justify a $15K/month growth hire, and they didn't want another agency sending them slide decks about what they should be doing.

They wanted someone to build the machine and hand them the keys.

What Griot is now

Griot installs AI agents for marketing. That means four systems, deployed as infrastructure — not a retainer for meetings and reports.

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) — Your content shows up when ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI search engines answer questions about your space. We build structured data, optimize for AI citations, and monitor your AEO score daily.

SEO — Autonomous monitoring that pulls Google Search Console and analytics data every day, optimizes content based on keyword rankings, and surfaces what's working. No one touches a dashboard. The system runs while you sleep.

Cold Outbound — We build the lead lists, write the sequences, and install the sending infrastructure. You wake up to replies from qualified prospects, not a spreadsheet of tasks.

Content — We learn your voice from your best content and produce publish-ready drafts. LinkedIn posts, threads, newsletters. You edit and post. No more staring at a blank page.

Why "install" matters

The word matters. We don't "manage" your marketing. We don't "consult" on your growth strategy.

We embed with your team for the first month. We build the systems — the cron jobs that pull your Search Console data, the Slack channels that deliver daily reports, the outbound sequences that book meetings on autopilot. Then we hand you the keys.

You keep the systems, the dashboards, and the playbooks. No lock-in. No retainers for slide decks.

This is what I was doing for clients before the rebrand anyway. At Origami, we went from 9 to 2,700+ impressions in weeks with autonomous SEO. For Northlight, we ranked for "HeyReach alternatives" in two weeks. For Pathlit, cold outbound booked 10 qualified calls in the first two weeks of sending.

The rebrand just made the positioning match the work.

What didn't change

The name stayed. Griot — pronounced "gree-oh" — is a West African storyteller and historian. Someone who carries the knowledge and shares it at the right moment.

That's still what we do. We carry the context — your voice, your data, your growth signals — and deploy it where it matters. The difference is that now we're deploying it across your entire growth stack, not just your content.

What's next

We're building toward a world where every startup has growth infrastructure from day one. Not a growth team they can't afford. Not an agency that sends weekly reports. A system that compounds.

If you're a founder with a product that works and growth that's stalled, that's exactly who we built this for.

Book a call — 30 minutes, no slide deck. We'll map your growth stack and show you exactly what we'd install.

Your startup deserves a growth engine, not a slide deck.

We install AEO, SEO, outbound, and content systems that compound — so you can focus on building.
